Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

More and more insurers now provide additional levels of support either within the standard PMI plan or for an additional charge. 

EAPs extend employee benefits to include 24-hour confidential telephone advice lines for a range of issues including:

  • medical

  • lifestyle

  • childcare

  • homecare

  • bereavement

Services may also include access to professional counsellors which may also include referral and or face-to-face sessions; this may be especially useful in relation to work-related stress issues. Legal and employment advice may also be available.
